The 3 Aeth families

Aeths are born from flowers that are imbued with bits of power from The Father, the original angel. Onced picked, the flower turns into a child. As such, there are 3 types of Aeths based on the flower’s patterns and time of day they were born.

the day aeths

  • Born from blooming flowers

  • The most common Aeths. They can jump dimensions and can move time backwards

  • The cannot fly without harnessing the power of the butterfly effect. As such flower grow freely on their wings. However, they can only fly for so long since the flowers may wilt if used too excessively. They live symbiotically with the butterflies

  • Their wings are always white in the outside

  • Day aeths seek to help others, mostly humans and nature, and to undo the wrongs of other aeth types

  • Day Aeths despise night Aeths and believe they should not exist as they are defective. There is animosity between both families

The City of the Rising Sun.

Day Aeths live in and around a capitol called Aetherium. They are generally more civil than the other Aeths. They have the most interaction with humans. 

​

Day Aeths tend to live in settlements and don't venture far. They worship the great Seraeth - Syr Aurelim and The Father. (see info on Seraeths in lore)

The City of Twilight

Night aeths live in large cities close to each other called the cities of Gloom. It is said that every night there is a festival filled with tricks and feasts. Night Aeths generally don't interact with humans unless they want to have some fun. 

​

Night Aeths don't worship anything and take pride in choosing their own fate. Night Aeths are strongest at night so their cities are considered nocturnal. 

  • Born from wilting flowers

  • Less common but still prevalent, night aeths can jump dimensions and move time forwards

  • Same with other Aeths, they cannot fly without harnessing the power of the butterfly effect. However, because their wings only produce wilted flowers, they cannot attract butterflies. Instead, they produce fake flowers to lure the butterflies in and chain them to their wings. The butterflies die because of lack of food,and become spirits. Therefore the butterflies you see in night Aeths are spirits

  • Their wings are always black on the outside

  • Night Aeths are seen as defective to the day Aeths, and they are often considered as the less superior race.

  • They are tricksters and seek to trick humans with their time and space abilities

The Nomadic Dusks

Dusk Aeths live in small settlements across the Aethic realm. They tend to not associate with other families simply because they do most of their actions at dusk or morning. 

​

They worship The Father in their own ways, usually by tending to the flowers that grow above The Father's resting place.

  • Born from flowers that never bloom (Also called the Dreaming Flowers)

  • Dusk Aeths are rare as there is a very small window of time in which they are born

  • Dusk Aeths can move time forwards and backwards and can jump dimensions

  • Dusk Aeth flowers that grow on their wings never bloom, so they are unable to attract butterflies to harness the power. However, because the flowers are still 'sleeping' they dream of butterflies. Therefore, the butterflies that you see around the dusk Aeth wings are created by the un-bloomed flowers. As such dusk Aeths do not need to regenerate flowers and always have the ability to fly

  • Dusk Aeth bodies are more fragile than the other Aeths

  • Their wings can be any colour on the outside and the inside are usually very colourful

  • They are usually loved by the other Aeths as they are the primary caretakers of the Cradle, the patch of blooming flowers above The Father's body
