THE FATHER

(WIP) There was once an angel with wings as white and soft as snow. This angel had the ability to manipulate time itself and travel between dimensions. As such, he was tasked with helping humans who had wrongful misfortune fall upon them. For centuries he was an aid to all the pure hearted people and would rewind time for them. However, seeing all these humans benefiting from the power bestowed upon him, he became greedy. The angel began to warp time and space for his own will, bending time so he could experience fortune as these humans had. Leaving heaven and his duties, he sought a life of pleasure.

He carried on, redoing time as he saw fit to have the best outcomes. However, one day he was careless. He had let himself get carried away and instead of warping to a desirable dimension, he threw himself into an entirely new one in which he was lost. Because of the warping error his wings had become all twisted and bloody and broken and he was unable to fly. But he didn’t care, as all he needed to do was turn back time. And so he did... he turned back time and continued his pleasurable life style. However, the same thing happened not long after, and he continued to turn back time to reverse it. But the strings of fate would not let him rest… and every time he returned it would only be for a short time till he made a mistake and mangled his wings. It was then he realized he had caused something with all his selfish desires - the butterfly effect. No matter how many times he went back in time it would always end the same way.

As he lay on the wastelands with his broken twisted wings, the angel had an idea. What if he harnessed the power of the butterflies themselves, and use the effect to his advantage? His wings were torn and twisted and he was unable to fly… so the angel used flowers he found on the land and buried their roots deep into his wings. After some time the flowers began to grow and attract the butterflies. With the power of the effect in his hands, the angel flew high and mighty. He flew into the sky leaving the planet behind…

But what the angel did not know was that just by harnessing the power of the butterflies does not let you escape their fate. And as he flew the butterflies slowly sucked all the flower’s nectar dry and began to flutter away. They left the angel one by one, leaving the angel air born with only broken tattered twisted wings… and so the angel fell to the ground to his death and was buried deep within the earth. Upon the earth above where he lay grew a small patch of flowers… those flower later became the first Aeths.
